    Our history

    The 4090 Charitable Foundation was founded in 2020, in the aftermath of the Artsakh war, by a group of five close friends who share a deep respect for education and bravery.

    Among them are three Harvard graduates who credit their achievements to quality education and advocate lifelong learning.

    Inspired by the heroism of those who took part in the Artsakh war of 2016 and 2020, as well as subsequent operations, the foundation is dedicated to providing higher education opportunities for these individuals. Despite facing numerous challenges, they remain committed to pursuing their dreams and contributing to the future of their homeland.

    The Foundation operates independently of any political, religious, or trade union affiliations.

    Gevorg Tamamyan

    Gevorg Tamamyan is the President of the International Society of Pediatric Oncology (SIOP) Asian Continental Branch and President of the Pediatric Oncology East and Mediterranean (POEM) Group, Chairman and Professor of the Department of Hematology and Pediatric Oncology at Yerevan State Medical University (YSMU), Editor-in-Chief of OncoDaily, CEO of the Immune Oncology Research Institute, Chairman of the Board of the Institute of Cancer and Crisis. Dr.

    Tamamyan is an adviser to the Rector of YSMU, a member of the SIOP Board of Directors, ASCO International Committee, Asian Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Group’s Executive Committee.

    Eric Gyulazy

    Co-founder

    Eager to advance sustainable development in Armenia, Eric serves as an Advisor for Sustainable Development at the World Bank Office. Since 2017, he has provided strategic guidance at the Center for Strategic Initiatives and leads the innovative center for joint Sustainable Development Goals with the Armenian Government and the United Nations. Additionally, Eric holds a senior advisory role and represents the founder of Children of Armenia Fund (COAF) highlighting his expertise in driving impactful initiatives and fostering partnerships in the realm of sustainable development.

    Lida Melikyan

    Lida is a Clinical Resident in the Department of Dermatology and Venereology at “Muratsan" University Hospital Complex. She is also a Senior Specialist in the Development Department at Yerevan State Medical University and the Head and Co-founder of the “Heratsi" Innovation Laboratory.
